Monorail Overhead Conveyors

A comprehensive range for loads from a few kilograms to 2 tonnes.

These Monorail conveyors, designed to be simple and reliable, consist of an I-beam track on which trolleys move at intervals, connected by a Type X forged chain.

This chain is driven by a drive unit and constantly tensioned by a tensioning unit.

Unlike all other types of conveyors, our drive units can pull up to 500 meters of chain per unit, avoiding costly and cumbersome synchronization systems.

Our Monorail conveyors offer multiple technical possibilities to best adapt to the requirements of surface treatment or assembly lines.

Moreover, they are standardized worldwide, providing you with longevity and competitiveness, both in terms of spare parts and modifications.

Multiple Attachment Combinations

On one or several trolleys.

Attachment to connecting bars or directly on the trolleys.

On rotating hooks for presenting the piece in the desired position according to the equipment.

Simple and Reliable Design

Worldwide standard chain X228, X348, X458, or X678.

Load-bearing trolleys with protected bearings and long-lasting lubrication up to 250 °C (no oil splashing). Up to 5 years without lubrication. (Contact us for details)

Permanent chain tension with spring tensioning unit or counterweight.

Drive unit type 'Caterpillar' or motorized tensioner.

Minimized Maintenance Costs

1. Long-lasting lubrication providing up to 8000 hours without intervention on trolleys at a maximum of 250°C.
2. Half-hard steel IAS rail. (Little to no wear)
3. Trolley bearings visible throughout the circuit
4. Chain requiring minimal lubrication.Possibility of delivering the equipment in kit form for cost reduction.

Drive and Chain Tensioning Systems

The drive units can be of two types:

1. Type 'CATERPILLAR' for 500 to 2000 daN Max traction force
2. Type 'Wheel' for 100 to 500 daN Max traction force These units are coupled with the tensioning system (motorized tensioning unit)
3. Chain tensioners
4. Type 'Spring(s)': for traction forces up to 500 daN
5. Type 'Counterweight': for traction forces > 500 daN

DIMENSIONS AND CAPACITIES OF BIRAILS CONVEYORS

The Birails range includes 4 sizes of conveyors according to the loads:

BR 32 for loads up to 100kg on 2 trolleys

BR 3 for loads up to 500kg on 2 trolleys

BR 4 for loads up to 1500kg on 2 trolleys

BR 6 for loads up to 3000kg on 2 trolleys

These values may vary depending on the circuit typology and loads. The same beam can also accommodate 3 or 4 bearing trolleys, thus increasing the conveyor's capacities.
